Penguin Painting

 

Materials

  • ~ White Paper
  • ~ Orange Paper
  • ~ Black Paint
  • ~ Paintbrushes
  • ~ Scissors
  • ~ Reinforcements for holes in ring binders


Instructions

  • ~ Use the paintbrush to apply black paint to the bottom of the child's foot.
  • ~ Paint only the foot, not the toes.
  • ~ Press the child's foot firmly onto a piece of white paper. Let dry completely.
  • ~ Arrange their paper so that the top of their footprint is at the bottom of the page.
  • ~ Cut out a triangle beak and two oval flippers for each penguin from the orange paper.
  • ~ Have the child glue on the flippers and beak and stick on the hole reinforcer for the eye.
  • ~ Use a black marker to draw a line to create the white tummy where the arch of their footprint left a white space.
