Which Utensil Should You Use?

 

Materials

  • ~ Large sheets of paper
  • ~ Markers
  • ~ Plastic forks and spoons
  • ~ Glue sticks
  • ~ Safety scissors
  • ~ Old magazines or grocery store Ad's


Instructions

  • ~ Divide the paper into 3 equal sections. Draw a heavy black line between the sections.
  • ~ At the top of the first section, have the child trace around a plastic spoon. Print the word spoon.
  • ~ At the top of the center section, have the child trace around a plastic fork. Print the word fork.
  • ~ At the top of the remaining section, trace around the child's hand. Print the word fingers.
  • ~ Provide the children with a large supply of old magazines and grocery store flyers.
  • ~ Ask the children to cut out pictures of foods and help them to glue them on to the appropriate category.
