Chinese New Year Dragon Puppets

 

Materials

• ~ 1 old sock for each child
• ~ Markers
• ~ Colorful ribbon and collage materials such as sequins and plastic jewels
• ~ Paper plates
• ~ Scissors (for the adult)

Instructions

• ~ Use brightly colored markers to help each child to draw a dragon face on an old sock.
• ~ Cut away the center of the paper plate.
• ~ Decorate the paper plate ring with markers, ribbons, and collage materials.
• ~ Slip the sock onto the child's hand and then slide the paper plate ring over the sock to the child's wrist.
