Cheesy Tortilla Calzone

 

   Serving Size:
1 calzone is 1.5 oz meat/ meat alternate and a 1 oz grain for 3-5 year old at lunch/supper.

 

   Yield:
1 calzone

 


 

Ingredients:

1/4 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
2 Tbsp. (1/2 oz.) chopped ham or cooked chicken
chopped green pepper or mushrooms, sauteed in small amount of oil
1 flour tortilla(s)
spaghetti sauce

Directions:
Place tortilla on sprayed baking sheet. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on tortilla, making sure to get cheese to the edge. Bake at 425 degrees until cheese melts. Top tortilla with vegetables and chopped meat; fold in half. Crimp edges together using a fork. Bake until crisp, about 5 - 7 minutes. Serve with spaghetti or pizza sauce.
