Oven Sloppy Joes

Serving Size:

1/3 cup provides 1.5 oz meat/ meat alternate and 1/8 cup vegetable for a 3-5 year old at lunch/ supper.

Yield:

2 cups

Ingredients:

1 lb. (85/15) hamburger

7 1/2 oz. tomato sauce

2 Tbsp. ketchup

2 tsp. brown sugar

3/4 c. chopped onion

dash of Tabasco or hot sauce

1/2 tsp. mustard

1/2 tsp. vinegar

1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a small roasting pan with non-stick cooking spray. Mix the tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, onions and spices together in a small bowl. Place uncooked hamburger in the roasting pan. Pour sauce mixture over it and mix well. (Not necessary to brown the hamburger first) Bake 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
