Baby Carrots & Raisins

 

   Serving Size:
1/2 cup carrots is 1/2 cup vegetable for a 3-5 year old.

 

   Yield:
3 cups

 


 

Ingredients:

3 c. baby carrot(s)
2 Tbsp. water
1/4 c. raisins
1/4 c. sliced dry roasted almonds, optional
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
3 Tbsp. sugar or honey
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
salt to taste, optional

Directions:
Place the carrots and water in a microwaveable dish. Cover, and microwave on high until the carrots are tender, about 10 minutes. Stir about half way through. Drain the water. Stir in the rest of the ingredients, cover, and microwave on high for 1 to 2 minutes more.
