Leopard and Zebra Headbands

 

Materials

  • ~ White and yellow paper
  • ~ Scissors
  • ~ Black paint
  • ~ Paintbrushes
  • ~ Paint sponges
  • ~ Stapler


Instructions

  • ~ From the white and yellow paper, cut strips that are long enough to fit around a child's head.
  • ~ Cut out sets of rounded ears from the yellow paper, and pointed ears from the white paper.
  • ~ Pour black paint into paint pans or paper plates and give each child a paintbrush and a paint sponge.
  • ~ Direct the children to use the paintbrush to make the zebra's stripes on the white paper and ears.
  • ~ On the yellow paper and on the ears, apply black paint with the sponge to create the leopard's spots.
  • ~ Use the stapler to attach the ears and to connect the ends of the headband to fit around the child's head.
