Memorial Day: A Time for Saying Thanks

 

Your daycare kids will be proud to demonstrate their true red-white and blue colors for this holiday that celebrates our American soldiers.

Patriotic Prints

Supplies:

• ~ White paper
• ~ Red and Blue tempera paint
• ~ Paper plates or shallow dishes for paint
• ~ Star shaped cookie cutters

Directions:

• ~ Pour each color of paint into a shallow dish.
• ~ Dip cookie cutters in the paint.
• ~ Press star shapes onto white paper.

Special Note: It is easy to make patriotic prints into cards for loved ones serving in the military. Simply wait for the paint to dry, and then fold the paper in half to make a card. Record a special note inside from each of your daycare children.
