Chili

 

   Serving Size:
1/12 of chili is 1.5 oz meat/ meat alternate and 1/4 cup serving vegetable for 3 - 5 year old at lunch/supper

 

   Yield:
12 servings

 


 

Ingredients:

1 large chopped onion
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1 (28. oz.) can chopped tomato(es)
2 tsp. ground cumin
dash of pepper
1 minced clove garlic
2 lb. ground turkey or beef
2 (15 oz.) can drained kidney beans
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. paprika

Directions:
Brown turkey with garlic until no longer pink. Add other ingredients, except the beans and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 1 hour. Add beans and cook until heated.
