Color Word Rubbings

 

Supplies:

• ~ Heavy white paper (cardstock or poster board)
• ~ Black marker
• ~ Glue (bottle)
• ~ White copy paper
• ~ Red, Yellow and Blue Crayons

Directions:

• ~ Prepare a rubbing pattern of each of the primary color words by printing the words on heavy paper with the black marker, and then tracing over the letters with glue. Let these dry overnight before using them.
• ~ Give the children peeled crayons to rub over the glue letters, revealing the appropriate color word.
