Printed Wrapping Paper

 

Supplies:

• ~ Roll of newsprint paper
• ~ Paint
• ~ Cookie cutters
• ~ Scissors

Directions:

• ~ Lay out large sheets of newsprint paper, along with holiday themed cookie cutters, and pans of brightly colored tempera paint.
• ~ Have the children dip the cookie cutters into the paint, then press and the shape onto the paper. Have them wiggle the cutter a little bit as it is laid on the paper to get a thicker outline.
• ~ Allow for drying.
• ~ Cut the paper into equal pieces and encourage the children to wrap gifts for their parents or grandparents in this special homemade paper.
