Valentine's Day Mouse

 

Kids will delight in creating this cute and loveable little critter!

Supplies:

• ~ Red and pink construction paper
• ~ Scissors (adult use)
• ~ Pipe cleaners
• ~ Googley eyes
• ~ Glue sticks
• ~ Stapler

Directions:

• ~ Fold a piece of pink construction paper in half, cut out half of a heart shape, so that when unfolded it is a symmetrical heart.
• ~ Fold a piece of red construction paper in half, then in half again. Cut out one side of a heart so that when unfolded it produces two identical sized hearts.
• ~ From the red scraps, cut a tiny heart to be the mouse's nose.
• ~ Glue the red ears onto the pink face.
• ~ Set out three pipe cleaners and twist them together in the center to make the whiskers.
• ~ Use the stapler to attach the whiskers on the tip of the heart shaped face.
• ~ Glue the red heart nose over the whiskers.
• ~ Glue on the Googley eyes.
