Toothpaste Painting

 

February is Dental Health Month. Put the spotlight on those pearly whites with this fresh art project.

Supplies:

• ~ White paper
• ~ Scissors-adult use
• ~ Kids toothpaste
• ~ White tempera paint
• ~ Toothbrushes
• ~ White glitter

Directions:

• ~ Cut out a tooth shape from white paper, one for each child in your care.
• ~ Mix together 2 tablespoons of kids' toothpaste with 1/2 cup of white tempera paint.
• ~ Place a drop of the paint mixture onto each child's paper tooth.
• ~ Provide a toothbrush for the child to use as a painting tool.
• ~ Sprinkle glitter over the painted tooth to make it sparkling white!
