Cornmeal Drop Biscuits

 

   Serving Size:
1 biscuit is a grain for a 3 - 5 year old.

 

   Yield:
12 biscuits

 


 

Ingredients:

1 1/3 cups flour
1/3 c. yellow corn meal, enriched or whole grain
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp. skim milk
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 beat egg(s)

Directions:
Combine dry ingredients in large bowl. Combine milk, oil and egg; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Drop batter by heaping tablespoons onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire rack.
