Applesauce

 

Materials

  • ~ 1 1/2 Pounds Apples
  • ~ 1/4 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon or Nutmeg
  • ~ 1/4 Cup Water
  • ~ 1/3 Cup Sugar


Wash, quarter, core and pare apples. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add apples to the boiling water. Return to boil, cover and boil gently until tender. Press through a sieve or mash with a fork. Add sugar and spice.

Yield: approximately 8 servings

Serving Size: one serving is 1/4 cup of fruit/vegetable.
