Chinese Pork

   Serving Size:
1/3 cup provides 1.5 oz meat/ meat alternate for a 3-5 year old at lunch/supper.

   Yield:
2 3/4 cups

Ingredients:

1 Tbsp minced garlic
1 Tbsp fresh, peeled, grated ginger
1/2 cup sliced green onion
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 tsp Chinese Five Spice seasoning
3 Tbsp honey
1 lb (cut into bite sized pieces) pork loin

Directions:
In a sturdy, plastic resealable bag or shallow dish, mix together all seasonings. Add pork and seal the bag or cover the pan. Marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight. Turn the bag over several times while marinating to ensure the pork is coated. Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees F. Line a shallow pan with foil and coat with cooking spray. Place pork on baking sheet in a single layer and then on the top rack of the oven. Bake until browned and firm and the internal temp is 160 degrees about 20-30 minutes.
