Crockpot Fall Off the Bone Chicken

   Serving Size:
1-1/2 oz. cooked chicken is a meat/meat alternate for a 3-5 year old at lunch/supper.

   Yield:
Approximately 24 servings

Ingredients:

2 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. dried thyme
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 onion
4 lb. whole chicken

Directions:
Combine spices in a small bowl. Loosely chop onion and place it in the bottom of the slow cooker. Remove any giblets from chicken and rub spice mixture all over the chicken. Place chicken on top of onions, breast side down in the slow cooker. (No need to add liquid.) Cover with the lid and cook on high for about 4 hours, or until the chicken is falling off the bones. Be careful removing the chicken as it easily falls apart.
