Grandparent's Day Craft

 

Materials

• ~ Construction Paper
• ~ Crayons
• ~ Paint
• ~ Markers
• ~ Scissors
• ~ Glue

1. Ask the children what kind of picture they would like to make. Some possible suggestions are:

• ~ Have the child make a hand or footprint using tempura paint. Make sure to include the child's name and age somewhere on the picture.
• ~ Have the child draw a picture of their grandparents.
• ~ Have the child draw a picture of a special memory that they have about something they have done with that grandparent.
• ~ Have the child draw a picture of him/herself and their family.

2. Have the child bring home the picture in time to send to their grandparent.
