Banana French Toast

 

Ingredients:

2 egg(s)
1 cut into pieces, banana(s)
2 tsp. oil
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
6 slices whole wheat bread

Directions:

Heat large skillet or griddle. In blender combine eggs, milk , banana, cinnamon, nutmeg and oil until smooth. Pour into shallow dish. Lightly grease heated skillet. Soak bread in banana mixture, turning to coat both sides. Cook over medium heat about 3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Note: One half cup applesauce can be substituted for the banana.


Yield: 12 half slices
Serving Size: One half slice of french toast is a grain for a 3-5 year old.
