My Sandwich Book

 

Supplies Needed:

• ~ Brown, yellow, pink and red construction paper
• ~ Green tissue paper
• ~ Black marker (adult use)
• ~ Safety scissors
• ~ Hole punch
• ~ Yarn or ribbon

Directions:

• ~ Cut out the ingredients for a sandwich, as shown.
• ~ Consider leaving the edges around one thing, such as the ham, so older children can practice their cutting skills.
• ~ Let them use the hole-punch to make holes in the cheese.
• ~ Help them to punch a hole in the top of each item, so they can be bound together in a book.
• ~ After they have put together their sandwich book, encourage each child to "read" their book to you.
