Rainstick

 

Materials

• ~ Cardboard Tube
• ~ Birdseed, un-popped popcorn, rice or beans
• ~ Aluminum Foil
• ~ 2 Rubber Bands
• ~ Paint
• ~ Paint Brushes

Instructions

• ~ Paint colorful, fun designs on the cardboard tube.
• ~ Cover one end of the tube with a couple of layers of aluminum foil, put a rubber band around it to hold it in place.
• ~ Fill tube with bird seed, un-popped popcorn, rice or beans.
• ~ Cover other end of the tube with several layers of aluminum foil and put a rubber band around it to hold it in place.
• ~ By gently turning the tube upside down and letting the objects in it fall and hit the aluminum foil the rainstick will simulate the sound of falling rain.
