My Heart is Filled With Love For You!

 

Kids will surely win the heart of the special someone they choose to receive this special heart art project.

Materials

• ~ Clear plastic sheet protectors (found in office supply stores)
• ~ Scissors
• ~ Red, pink, and purple construction paper
• ~ Tissue paper in Valentine colors and designs
• ~ Hole puncher
• ~ Curling ribbon

Instructions

It's a good idea to have steps 1-4 done before the children arrive.

1. ~ Cut a large heart shape out a sheet protector for each child-giving you two transparent hearts.
2. ~ Staple the hearts together at the bottom to create a pouch.
3. ~ Use a hole-punch to make holes along the perimeter of the paired hearts.
4. ~ Thread a long piece of curling ribbon through one hole and tie off the end.
5. ~ Give each child their heart, along with materials to stuff them.
6. ~ After the heart is stuffed, help each child to lace up the ribbon around the edges. Once the ribbon is in place, you can remove the staples.
