Brown Rice Pilaf

 




Ingredients:

1/2 c. long grain brown rice
1/2 c. long grain enriched white rice
1 1/2 c. chicken broth
1 1/2 Tbsp. finely diced onion
1/8 tsp. black pepper

Directions:

1. In a stockpot, place all ingredients and bring to a boil.
2. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 40 minutes.


Yield: 2 cups
Serving Size: 1/4 cup rice is 0.5 oz grain for a 1 - 5 year old
