Turkey Joes

 

Ingredients:

1 lb. ground turkey
1 c, chopped onion
1/3 c. finely chopped green pepper
1 Tbsp. barbecue sauce, optional
1 Tbsp. oil
1 c. finely chopped celery
1 can (10.5 oz.) condensed tomato soup
1 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
7 buttered, toasted bun(s)

Directions:

Brown the turkey in oil. Stir in chopped vegetables. Cook until just tender. Mix in the remaining ingredients and simmer for 20-30 minutes


Yield: 7 servings
Serving Size: One serving (1/7 of recipe) is 1.5 oz meat/ meat alternate and 1 oz grain for a 3 - 5 year old.
