Banana Bread

 

Ingredients:

1/2 c. margarine
2 large egg(s)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/4 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. mashed banana(s)
3/4 c. flour

Directions:

Cream the margarine and sugar together in a mixing bowl. Add the eggs; beat well. Mix the flours and soda together in a medium bowl. Add the flour to creamed mixture alternately with the mashed banana. Pour the batter into a greased 9" x 5" x 3" loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-65 minutes. Remove the loaf from the pan to cool. Slice the loaf into 12 slices.


Yield: 24 servings
Serving Size: 1/2 slice is a grain serving for 3 - 5 year old.
