The Lights of Los Posadas

 

Lighted luminary bags called Farolitos are commonly displayed as part of this Mexican holiday celebration that takes place from December 16th to the 24th.

Supplies:

• ~ Paper lunch-size bags
• ~ Sand
• ~ Markers
• ~ Glow sticks

Directions:

• ~ Have each child decorate the outside of a lunch bag as desired.
• ~ Pour about a 1/2 cup of sand in the bottom of each bag.
• ~ Place a glow stick in each bag.
• ~ Turn out the lights and enjoy the peaceful glow of the holiday season.
