Jewel Hunt

 

Materials

• ~ ice cube trays
• ~ food coloring

The day before doing this activity with the children, make ice cubes in an ice tray. Add food coloring to each ice cube to create lots of different colored ice cubes.

The day of the activity, hide the ice cubes outside in the play area or yard and challenge the children to find as many "jewels" as they can!
