Crockpot Taco Supper

 

Ingredients:

2 lbs. browned hamburger
1 (15.5 oz.) can kidney beans
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tsp. chili powder
1 (28 oz.) can diced tomato(es)
1 (15.5 oz.) can black beans
1 clove minced garlic
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
tortilla chips
toppings such as tomatoes, lettuce, avocados, green peppers, olives, shredded cheese, sour cream, optional

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a crock pot and cook on high for 5 hours or low for 8 hours. Serve meat mixture over whole grain tortilla chips. Offer toppings such as tomatoes, lettuce, avocados, green peppers, olives, shredded cheese, sour cream and taco sauce.


Yield: 4 3/4 cups meat mixture
Serving Size: 1/3 cup is 1.5 oz meat/ meat alternate for a 3 - 5 year old.
