Brown ground beef over medium heat in a Dutch oven or stockpot and drain. Add onions, diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Stir in beef broth, water, brown sugar and four spices listed. Bring to a boil and add mini lasagna noodles or pasta. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in Parmesan cheese. Divide into bowls and top with 2 tablespoons mozzarella cheese.
Yield: 8 servings
Serving Size: One serving (18 of recipe) is 1.5 oz meat, 1/4 cup vegetable and 1 oz grain for a 3 - 5 year old at lunch/supper.
