Tuna-Apple Sandwich

 

Ingredients:

2 (6 oz.) cans, water packed tuna
1 small apple(s)
1 Tbsp. light mayonnaise
6 slices whole-wheat sandwich bread

Directions:

Peel and slice apples into small chunks. In small bowl, combine tuna, apple chunks, and mayonnaise. Mix well. Spread mixture on bread.


Yield: 6 half sandwiches
Serving Size: A 1/2 sandwich 1 oz grain and 1.5 oz meat/meat alternate for a 3-5 year old at lunch/supper
