Overnight Oats Very Merry Berries



1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup low-fat vanilla or plain yogurt (less than 3.83 gm sugar per oz)
1/4 cup milk
1 cup sliced or diced strawberries
1 cup blueberries
1 cup raspberries
1/4 cup walnuts, optional


In a medium bowl, mix oats, yogurt and milk. Cover and refrigerate for 6-12 hours (overnight is best). Add fruit and mix gently. Scoop 3/4 cup into small dishes. Add walnuts if desired.

Yield: 4 1/2 cups
Serving Size: 3/4 cup is 1/2 cup fruit and 0.5 grain for a 3-5 year old at breakfast.
