Hamburger Stew

 

Ingredients:

1 lb. browned and drained hamburger
1/2 c. ketchup
4 c. water
2 tsp. salt
2 (16 oz.) cans potato(es)
1 (16 oz.) can carrot(s)
1/4 c. onion flakes

Directions:

Simmer all ingredients in a large pot for 15 - 20 minutes. Save time by browning hamburger ahead of time and freezing in one meal packages.


Yield: 6 servings.
Serving Size: 1/6 of stew is 1.5 oz meat/ meat alternate and 1/4 cup vegetable for a 3 - 5 year old at lunch/supper.
