Lacing Cards

 

Materials

• ~ Used Greeting Cards
• ~ Yarn
• ~ Tape
• ~ Hole Punch
• ~ Scissors
• ~ Paper Clip
• ~ Poster Board (optional)

Instructions

• ~ Make lacing cards from Christmas cards or other greeting cards. Back them with poster board if not stiff enough.
• ~ Use a hole-punch to punch holes around the outside edge of the card or around a design.
• ~ Attach a piece of yarn to the card. Wrap tape around the loose end to make the yarn still so it pokes easily into the holes. Older children like sewing with a "needle." Straighten out the long loop of the paper clip. Tie the "needle" on the loose end of the yarn by putting yarn through short loop and pinching it tightly closed.
