Apple Sandwich

 

Ingredients:

3 apple(s)
6 Tbsp nut or peanut butter

Directions:

Core apples. Slice each apple into 8 doughnut shaped rings and place on a plate. Have the children spread 1/2 tablespoon nut or peanut butter on top of one slice of apple, using plastic knives. Top with another slice of apple ring. Serve apple sandwiches with milk for a great after school snack.


Yield: 12 sandwiches
Serving Size: 2 sandwiches is a 1/2 cup fruit and 0.5 oz meat/meat alternate for a 3-5 year old at snack.
