Registration is now open for our 2025 virtual conference offering 10 hours of develop-approved continuing education.

Join us for a flexible schedule with classes offered on January 25th, 27th, and 28th, 2025 from the comfort of your own home or business.

Cost is $20 per class with an early bird special of $75.00 for all five classes if register by December 18th.

It is about Building Relationships (KCF III) - Cindy Goldade Recognize the energy children, parents, and co-workers bring to the learning space and its impact on focus, social interactions, and communication. Learn how to connect intentionally with others. Strategize how to create a safe environment that supports, educates, and holds space for processing individual experiences. In this course, discover how to get in synch with those around us, in order to optimize our relationships.

Sowing Seeds of Empathy & Kindness (KCF IIC)- Laura Lamb Broaden your understanding of social emotional development by examining the cycle of attachment, the development of empathy, and the social dynamics of bullying. Explore methods that can be implemented with children birth through school age to nurture a healthy attachment, build empathy, and reduce bullying behavior.

The More We Read Together (KCF IIB)- Theresa Peplinski Learn how to add language and literacy activities to your day. The benefits of a language rich environment will be reviewed. Learn how to create fingerplays, songs, language, and math games to compliment any children's book. Participants will learn how to promote language and literacy awareness throughout the day, not just at story time. These skills and activities will be modeled so participants can learn how to model these skills to parents. Participants will receive a list or resources for free and inexpensive books for their program.

In the Know: Be Prepared! Traveling through Licensing Inspections (KCF VI) - Cyndi Cunningham Identify how to successfully prepare your Licensed Family Child Care program for licensing visits. Review the licensing visit process and set goals to ensure a positive visit. Walk away from this course feeling empowered!

Nature Based Learning: Blending Early Childhood Ed Indoors, Outdoors and Beyond (KCF IIA) - Sherry Tiegs Incorporate nature-based play into your everyday practices. Provide an exciting opportunity for children to grow in child development by extending their learning in natural outdoor experiences. Discover how to blend early childhood education and environmental education. Discuss the nature-based approach and various opportunities at different levels of participation in establishing a nature-based early education program.
