Eggs in a Bag
One egg in a bag is 2 oz meat alternate for a 3-5 year old at lunch/supper.
1 per child, large egg(s)
any kind cheese
chopped ham or pepperoni
chopped onion
green pepper
mushrooms mushrooms
diced tomato(es)
quart sized, zipper freezer bags as needed
Bring a large kettle of water to a full rolling boil. Have each child crack one egg in their own plastic bag adding the ingredients of their choice to make an æomelet'. After sealing the bag, have the children squish the ingredients together. Place all bags in the boiling water and boil for 15 minutes. Note: Anje sometimes places each bag into another bag prior to placing the egg mixture in the water bath.
