Boston Baked Beans

 

   Serving Size:
1/4 cup beans is 1/4 cup vegetable for a 3-5 year old at lunch/dinner.

 

   Yield:
6 c. of beans

 


 

Ingredients:

2 c. dry navy beans
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. mustard
7 c. water
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. molasses

Directions:
Wash beans. Put beans into water and boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 1 hour. Add salt and cook slowly 1 hour. Chop onion and mix with cloves, mustard and molasses. Stir into beans. Put beans into baking pan. Add enough hot water to cover beans. Cover pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
