Hands-full of Flowers

Materials

  • ~ White paper
  • ~ Green paint
  • ~ Paintbrush
  • ~ Brightly colored tissue paper, cut into small squares
  • ~ Pencils
  • ~ Glue

Instructions

  • ~ Use the paintbrush to paint both of the child's hands green.
  • ~ Press their handprints onto the paper, below the center.
  • ~ With the brush, paint down from the bottoms of the handprints to create a stem, as shown.
  • ~ After the paint has dried, take a square of tissue and wrap it around the eraser end of a pencil. Then dip this in glue and press onto the handprints to create a flower.
  • ~ Continue to add tissue paper buds until your bouquet is complete.
  • ~ Finally, help the child to copy the Mother's Day poem, or have them write their own sentiment.

Mother's Day Poem in the picture above:
Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
I'm here to say
That I Love You!

Happy Mother's Day!
