Scarecrow Puppets

 

Materials

• ~ Paper plates
• ~ Crayons
• ~ Tape
• ~ Glue
• ~ Scraps of construction paper
• ~ Red checked cloth
• ~ Scissors (for adult use)
• ~ Stapler
• ~ Large craft stick

Instructions

• ~ Have each child color the front of a paper plate brown.
• ~ Glue on two circle eyes and a triangle nose, cut from paper scraps.
• ~ Cut yellow or brown paper into strips. Glue or tape the strips onto the bottom of the face, on the back of the plate. Then attach additional strips along the sides of the face for hair.
• ~ Cut a large brown triangle from paper and glue on top to make the hat.
• ~ Cut the red fabric into a triangle shape and staple onto the bottom to make the scarf around the neck.
• ~ Attach a large craft stick to the back for use as a puppet.
