Holiday Lanterns

 

Materials

• ~ Toilet paper tubes-one per child
• ~ Red, green, and gold tissue paper
• ~ Aluminum foil
• ~ Glue
• ~ Paintbrushes
• ~ Hole-punch
• ~ Curling ribbon

Instructions

• ~ Use the paintbrush to apply glue that has been thinned with a little water to the toilet paper tube.
• ~ Tear tissue and foil into small pieces (approx. 1 inch) and stick them onto the tube where the glue has been applied.
• ~ When the tube has been completely covered, allow it to dry.
• ~ Punch two holes in the top of the dried tube, across from each other.
• ~ Thread a piece of curling ribbon
