I made a little snowman

Snowmen don't last long on a sunny winter day, as the kids will discover through this clever craft project and poem.

Materials

  • ~ White construction paper (1 sheet per child)
  • ~ Blue construction paper (1 sheet per child)
  • ~ Black and orange construction paper scraps
  • ~ Glue sticks

Instructions

  • ~ Have the children tear their white paper into small pieces.
  • ~ Arrange the pieces of white paper on the blue paper to form a "melted" snowman and attach them with glue.
  • ~ Glue on a carrot nose, coal eyes and mouth, and a hat, all of which can be cut out from the paper scraps. (It's a good idea to pre-cut these before the children arrive)
  • ~ Attach the snowman poem.
