Baby Carrots & Raisins
1/2 cup carrots is 1/2 cup vegetable for a 3-5 year old.
3 c. baby carrot(s)
2 Tbsp. water
1/4 c. raisins
1/4 c. sliced dry roasted almonds, optional
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
3 Tbsp. sugar or honey
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
salt to taste, optional
Place the carrots and water in
a microwaveable dish. Cover,
and microwave on high until the carrots are tender, about
10 minutes.
Stir about half way through.
Drain the water.
Stir in the rest of the
ingredients, cover, and
microwave on high for 1 to 2
minutes more.
