Number of Plums Game

This easy game teaches children to identify the numbers one through ten.

You'll Need: A pie pan and ten purple paper circles with the numbers one through ten printed on them.

To play: Seat the children in a circle and take turns inserting each child's name into the rhyme. The child will reach into the pie pan and take out a plum and then state that number during the rhyme.

Little (child's name) Horner
Sat in the corner
Eating a Christmas pie
He/She put in his/her thumb
And pulled out (number) plums
And said "What a good (boy/girl) am I!"
