Pass the Hat

 

A cooperative art project.

Supplies:

• ~ Paper plates
• ~ Markers or crayons
• ~ Stickers
• ~ Scissors (adult use)
• ~ Stapler

Directions:

• ~ Cut a slit in each plate, from the outside edge to the center.
• ~ Staple the resulting flaps over each other to form a cone shaped hat.
• ~ Write children's names on their hats.
• ~ Have the children use the markers, crayons and stickers to begin decorating the hats.
• ~ After a few minutes, each child should pass their hat to the child sitting next to them. That child then adds to the decorating of the hat.
• ~ Continue to pass the hats around until they come back to their owner.
