Savory Chicken Stew

 

   Serving Size:
One serving (1/7 of recipe) is 1.5 oz meat/ meat alternate and 1/4 cup vegetable for a 3-5 year old at lunch/supper.

 

   Yield:
7 servings

 


 

Ingredients:

1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. seasoning
1/2 tsp. salt
4 cups chicken broth
1 (16 oz.) package frozen mixed vegetables
1 cup peeled, diced potato(es)
2 1/2 cups chopped, cooked chicken

Directions:
In a small stock pot mix flour, poultry seasoning and salt together. Gradually stir in broth with a whisk until blended. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Stir in vegetables and potatoes, bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Add chicken and simmer until chicken is heated and vegetables are tender.
